During a visit to the Lunar New Year Market at the Seoul Government Complex with members of the State Council yesterday, Choi urged them to join the purchase, saying, "I hope the Lunar New Year's gift set will ease the burden of shopping bags and help farmers and fishermen."
The Lunar New Year's Day gift set is made by the government using domestic agricultural and fishery products such as rice, Korean beef, and abalone to ease the price burden and promote consumption, and is sold through Hanaro Mart at up to 50% discount.
Choi then held a meeting with small business groups at the Seoul Government Complex and said he will hold a meeting to check the rapid execution of the government's public welfare policy on the 20th to take care of the implementation process of the government's announced support plan for small business owners.
He also said he would actively consult with the National Assembly so that the legislation on supporting small business owners could be revised quickly.
