Mexican authorities seize more than two tons of cocaine in boat raid

Mexican drug investigators say they tracked down three boats near the coast of Cabo San Lucas and seized a large amount of cocaine.

Investigators arrested nine drug dealers who were transporting large amounts of cocaine off the coast of Cabo San Lucas on the 15th local time and seized all 2.19 tons of cocaine.

Authorities explained that helicopters and light airplanes were used in the operation with the cooperation of the Navy and the Coast Guard.

The Navy and the Coast Guard handed over both the drug dealer and the seized cocaine to prosecutors.
