China's BYD, the world's largest electric vehicle company, has entered the Korean passenger car market in earnest.
BYAD Korea held a press release event and announced the launch of its compact electric SUV, the Ato3.
The battery is equipped with self-produced lithium, phosphate, and iron batteries and can travel 321 kilometers on a single charge.
The price is 31.5 million won for the general model and 33.3 million won for the high-end model, and it is expected that it can be purchased at around 20 million won if the maximum subsidy is received.
As it is the first year to introduce passenger brands to the Korean market, BYADI Korea said it has tried to set a price optimized for customers so that they can experience the car without any burden.
Pre-booking started on the 16th and the car will be delivered to the customer after the middle of next month.
It also plans to launch mid-sized electric sedans and mid-sized electric SUVs in the second half of this year.
