Lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties visit the U.S. to attend the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The official U.S. delegation, consisting of members of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee, will stay in the U.S. until the 22nd and meet with U.S. government and congressional officials to discuss North Korea, the South Korea-U.S. alliance. We plan to discuss economic cooperation measures between Korea and the United States.

The U.S. delegation consisted of seven members, including Kim Seok-ki, chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Communications Committee, Kim Ki-hyun, Yoon Sang-hyun, and In Yo-han, and Cho Jung-sik, Kim Young-bae, and Hong Ki-won of the Democratic Party of Korea.

They will attend President Trump's inauguration on the 20th local time and meet with members of the U.S. Congress, including Senator Chris Van Hollen and Representative Young Kim.
