According to a video exclusively reported by the local daily "The Kyiv Independent," two Ukrainian special forces personnel recalled that it was not easy to capture a North Korean soldier alive last week because he was armed with grenades and other weapons.
Footage from the scene, which appears to have been taken by a body camera, showed a North Korean soldier who fell to the floor with a leg injury, wary of approaching Ukrainian forces but unable to move.
Special forces personnel at the scene said they took care of the captured North Korean soldiers, adding that he was not a "super killer" but just a young boy and wanted to help.
He also described the North Korean soldiers he met on the battlefield as younger, more resilient, and more motivated by the war than the Russian military.
