Democratic lawmakers criticized the recommendation for actively acknowledging President Yoon's martial law and effectively propagating and instigating civil war.
Kim Yong-won, a standing member of the Human Rights Commission, who tried to bring the recommendation to the meeting, attended a questionnaire on pending issues and clashed with opposition lawmakers.
Kim said the Democratic Party accused him of propaganda and claimed that it was an act of intimidating the people like "Kakao Talk Censorship."
Then, Rep. Chung Jin-wook of the Democratic Party criticized that he could only say that his brain was rotten, saying that he was talking about the meaning of censorship as he wanted.
People's Power lawmakers did not attend the steering committee meeting, which was called for by the opposition.
