The Rural Development Administration explained that it has promoted new projects such as summer cabbage production in semi-highland areas and prevention of low-temperature damage to apple flowers, and has organized four new projects to respond to abnormal weather conditions.
To this end, three technical presentations will be held until the 23rd.
Among the newly promoted projects, the semi-highland summer cabbage stabilization project will cost 1.2 billion won in six regions, including Pyeongchang and Jeongseon, to introduce high-temperature reduction technologies such as fine spray and low-temperature film.
In order to reduce the damage caused by abnormal low temperatures of apple flowers, 600 million won will be invested in six regions, including Inje and Yeongdong, to install agricultural hot air fans and passages.
Jang Sun-hwa, head of the technical support division at the National Horticultural Research Institute, said, "Different problems are occurring at farming sites due to various factors such as abnormal weather and lack of manpower."
