Europe is also nervous two days before U.S. President Donald Trump's re-entry into the White House.
It is foreshadowing a number of challenges, including the end of Ukraine and the expected increase in defense spending by NATO member states.
Correspondent Jo Su-hyun of London reports.

The launch of the second Trump administration is also a big issue in Europe.
[Claire / British Londoner] I think there are pros and cons to Trump coming back to power. I hope it's good for many areas.
[Tony / Spanish citizen of Barcelona]: For Europeans, Trump seems to be a problem. My biggest concern is whether democracy will be protected.
President-elect Trump is expected to first press for the end of Ukraine, which can be put forward as an external achievement in the early days of his inauguration, and the key is whether to find a point of contact on security guarantees.
[Neil Melvin / Director of International Security at the Royal Military Institute (RUSI) (YTN Interview): You can see that there are quite a few positions that are incompatible with each other. Ultimately, we will have to come up with security measures to monitor and ensure the peace agreement.
Trump is pressuring Europe in many ways, including high tariffs.
It calls for NATO member states to raise their defense spending target from the current "2% of GDP" to 5%, while also eyeing Greenland.
Because of this, the European Union, NATO, and the United Kingdom are deepening their struggles.
[Boris Pistorius/German Defense Minister: (The 5% mentioned by Trump) means Germany will have to spend over 40% of its total budget on defense.]
In particular, it is noteworthy that Elon Musk, the heavyweight of the second Trump administration, is shaking major countries such as Germany with his strong breath every day.
Trump and Europe had a lot of discord during the first administration. Europe's diplomatic power has been tested on how to manage relations amid a stronger U.S.-first stance.
