Lee Kwang-woo is suspected of obstructing the execution of special public affairs...three times non-attendance
The police attempted to arrest Lee Kwang-woo during the second warrant execution on the 15th and did not arrest him after receiving a promise to "attend after completing his security duties."
Police investigating the presidential security service's systematic obstruction of warrant execution have arrested Lee Kwang-woo, another hardliner in the security service.
In addition, Kim Sung-hoon, the deputy head of the security department, who was arrested yesterday, is recalled in a day, speeding up the investigation.
Let's connect with the reporter and listen closely. Reporter Lee Sanggon!
Lee Kwang-woo, the head of the security department, has been arrested?
[Journalist]
Yes, that's right.
The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters Special Investigation Team said it executed an arrest warrant for Lee Kwang-woo, the head of the security headquarters, around 10 a.m. today.
Director Lee is accused of taking the lead in blocking the first and second warrant execution process against President Yoon Suk Yeol along with Deputy Director of Security Kim Sung-hoon.
Director Lee had been issued an arrest warrant in response to three previous requests for attendance.
The police originally planned to arrest Director Lee while executing the second arrest warrant for President Yoon on the 15th.
After completing the presidential security work, he did not execute the warrant after receiving a promise to attend the police, but he executed the warrant immediately after Lee appeared today.
When Lee came out to the police, he told reporters that he would faithfully investigate, and that the security agency only performed its legitimate duties in the security area.

Deputy Chief Kim Sung-hoon, the number one security officer, was arrested a day earlier, and he was summoned again today following yesterday?
[Reporter]
Yes, the special investigation team of the National Investigation Headquarters of the police summoned Kim Sung-hoon, the deputy chief of security, at 9:30 a.m. today.
After arresting Deputy Chief Kim yesterday, the police conducted a high-intensity investigation for 13 hours, and in less than a day, they are summoning him again to continue the investigation.
Deputy Chief Kim only performed his legitimate duty for eight minutes at the time of his first appearance yesterday, protesting that the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and the National Police Agency had committed illegal acts.
When I attended today, I spoke to the reporters' questions.
However, Deputy Chief Kim's lawyer said he only followed the security manual, and the security service only responded in principle because an arrest warrant was presented in the presence of illegal entry.
Police are expected to focus on finding out this part in today's investigation, as allegations have emerged that they have ordered bodyguards to take a hard-line response and even ordered the use of weapons.
The police are considering applying for an arrest warrant, and as the arrest deadline for Deputy Chief Kim is approaching, it is expected to apply for an arrest warrant as soon as the investigation is completed today.
