Mapo-daero in front of the Seoul Western District Court was filled with protesters while President Yoon Suk Yeol was questioning suspects before his arrest.
The police set up a car wall and put in about 4,000 task forces, but it was not enough.
There were big and small clashes everywhere.
Supporters surrounded the courthouse, and some excitedly broke in over the wall. I've been arrested for redemption.
When President Yoon left the court after reviewing the warrant, the threat from supporters intensified.
He jumped into the road and assaulted the police and reporters who were covering it.
Some of them have been arrested on the spot.
Dozens of people were arrested in one day, including protesters who smashed vehicles of the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit and assaulted investigators, and were detained throughout the Seoul police station.
In particular, dozens of police officers who were managing the assembly were also injured large and small.
Police said several serious injuries were also reported.
