The People's Power said that illegal acts of violence do not help anyone in connection with the storming of the Western District Court by supporters of Yoon Suk Yeol's president, and that it was not for the president.

Kwon Young-se, chairman of the emergency committee, held an emergency meeting at the National Assembly and said, "There was a strong protest from some citizens during the process of reviewing arrest warrants," adding, "The people's power is firmly against all violence."

Floor leader Kwon Sung-dong also stressed that hatred would be too heavy a burden for the president, saying, "Let's exercise self-restraint that does not deviate from the legal boundaries even in the most difficult situations."

He then said he could not unilaterally hold protesters accountable for the violence, urging Acting President Choi Sang-mok to get to the bottom of the police's overreaction and violence that were not seen at other illegal rallies.
