President Yoon Suk Yeol will now be investigated in custody, right?
[Reporter]
Yes, the Ministry of Justice said that President Yoon will go through formal admission procedures at the Seoul Detention Center today as he is arrested.
He also explained that he left the waiting room for the suspect who stayed during the arrest period and moved to a general detention center where the prisoners were staying.Like ordinary inmates, President Yoon
will take so-called "Mugshots," check personal information, and undergo a simple physical examination.
In addition, he is now required to live in a khaki-colored embroidery with a death penalty number written on it, not in plain clothes, but is expected to be held in solitary confinement considering that he is the incumbent president.
In light of the past, former President Park Geun Hye lived in a solitary cell of about 3 pyeong in the Seoul Detention Center, and former President Lee Myung Bak lived in a similar size solitary cell in the eastern Seoul Detention Center.
The Ministry of Justice also said that when using external facilities such as public baths, it is expected to prevent contact between President Yoon and other inmates by adjusting the usage time.
If we leave the detention center to be investigated by the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit in the future, we will use the Ministry of Justice's convoy rather than the security service vehicle as we did yesterday.

Please tell us about the situation around the detention center.

Yes, President Yoon's supporters have been gathering in the morning.
He is waving the Korean national flag and the American flag, shouting 'President Yoon Suk Yeol' and immediately calling for his release.
More participants have gathered since the Senior Civil Servant Corruption Investigations Unit notified the summons at 2 p.m. today, and the atmosphere is even more intense.
Nearby, some people calling for the impeachment of President Yoon are also gathering to prepare for the rally.
Earlier this morning, when the news of the issuance of an arrest warrant for President Yoon spread, he could also be seen cheering and welcoming at the scene.
The police are focusing on maintaining order by putting two task forces around the detention center to prevent clashes between the two sides.
As both opposing and pro-impeachment have reported daily rallies, tensions around the detention center are expected to continue for the time being.
