When President Yoon Suk Yeol was arrested, the presidential office in Yongsan broke its silence and criticized the judiciary, pointing out that it was not in line with opposition politicians and equity.

At the emergency staff meeting, they decided to help the government to solve the challenges, including preparations for the launch of the new Trump administration.

The president's office, which received the result of the first arrest of a sitting president in constitutional history, criticized the judiciary with a high-ranking official about an hour after the arrest.

President Yoon Suk Yeol's decision to arrest him is a result of inequity with other opposition politicians, and he said he is concerned that it will undermine public confidence in the fairness of the judiciary.

It has been speculated that he targeted Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is being tried on charges of violating election laws without detention, and Cho Kuk, former leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, who ran even after being sentenced to prison in the second trial.

This message is somewhat unusual in that the presidential office has not made a position on President Yoon's arrest or investigation and has refrained from criticizing the judiciary. This is why there is a lot of internal resistance to the judiciary that issued the warrant even though President

Yoon explained the reason for his detention.

Chief of Staff Chung Jin-seok posted on social media that the public will eventually decide whether the incident is a riot or an emergency measure, which is not related to this atmosphere.

The presidential office, which lost its head, held an emergency meeting presided over by Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok in which all three chiefs participated to discuss countermeasures, and agreed to support acting president Choi Sang-mok.

The government has decided to support the government in consideration of the changing international situation, such as the launch of the Trump administration, and the economic situation such as high exchange rates and high interest rates.

Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok also stressed that they should play their respective roles as public officials for stable state administration, even though it is a difficult situation, the presidential office said.
