As a result of the YTN star report, the Seoul Gangseo Police Station decided not to send Yoo Jae-hwan, who was accused of fraud by 23 people on the 10th, due to insufficient evidence.
In this regard, Yoo Jae-hwan refused to be interviewed, saying, "I still feel guilty," but after several contacts, I was able to hear about my current feelings and how I have been doing.
When Yoo Jae-hwan mentioned the police's decision not to charge him, he thought for a long time, and said, "Even though I said I was innocent, I don't feel like I'm just happy at all. I feel humbled that I've just cleared up the misunderstanding," he said heavily.
He continued, "In life, things don't go as I wanted. I started to do good things this time, but I was very disappointed that it spread to misunderstanding. It was a very difficult time, and I'm sorry that the result came out like this even though I worked hard," he said.
He said, "The reason I got 1.3 million won at first was because I thought I could make enough songs with it. But as I did it, the session cost increased, the production cost came out at 1.5 million won, 1.8 million won, and later 2 million won. I think it was wrong to start with just 1.3 million won without knowing that the production cost would rise like this," he said.
However, "I didn't get paid for the song. I give you songs like my child, but I didn't pay for composition or arrangement, I just received production costs, and I started with a good heart."
When asked about what he has been up to, Yoo Jae-hwan said, "I'm working at home without working anything," adding, "It's only been four months since my mother passed away, and I'm actually living in a house because I'm mentally struggling."
Yoo Jae-hwan said, "I tried to make an extreme choice... Because of that, I was hospitalized in the psychiatric ward for a while," he confessed. "Then my mother passed away suddenly, and I had a hard time to the point where my daily life was almost impossible. Even basic things such as eating or washing were not easy, and it was very difficult as I suffered from life. I'm currently bankrupt," he vented.
Although he has not fully recovered yet, Yoo Jae-hwan expressed his willingness to continue with music if possible. "I think the feeling of helplessness about not being able to work was more difficult than anything else," he said. "I've been doing music through this, so I thought I'd have to pay it back with music. It's hard, but I'm thinking of playing the keyboard again."
In April last year, an article claiming fraud damage from Yoo Jae-hwan was posted on the online community, causing controversy. In response, Yoo Jae-hwan said on his SNS, "I'm sorry. He apologized, saying, "Everything is my fault." Later, he explained, "It is true that there was a number of personal things overlapping, and the fact that there was an abnormality in health was not intentionally intended to cause financial damage."
However, a series of similar cases have since caused a stir, and in June, Yoo Jae-hwan was hospitalized in the intensive care unit for treatment, and a suicide note-type text was released, shocking. Later, in August, news of the mother's death was reported, causing regret.
