Robert Pattinson, who first visited Korea with director Bong Joon-ho's film "Mickey 17," shared his feelings with director Bong.

A press conference for the movie 'Mickey 17' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall at 10 a.m. today (20th). The press conference, which followed shortly after the movie's premiere, was attended by director Bong Joon-ho, who directed the film, and Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson to talk about the film.

'Mickey 17' is a consumable used for dangerous work, and the movie depicts an unpredictable story of Mickey 18, which is reprinted after death, when Mickey 18 is printed, thinking he is dead during the 17th death crisis. Actors with star quality and acting skills, including Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Tony Collette and Mark Ruffalo, are expected to be the best-known film in 2025.

Robert Pattinson, who visited Korea for the first time at the press conference, said, "It was amazing that I've never been to Korea before. This is the first time I've come as a promotional activity before. I really wanted to meet Korean people," he said. He did not forget to thank the Korean audience for welcoming him with warm hospitality from the airport, saying, "I was surprised and warmed my heart."

Robert Pattinson then praised director Bong Joon-ho and explained why he worked with him.

Robert Pattinson said, "I think there are only four or five people like Bong in the world right now. All actors want to work together," he said. Also, "If you watch director Bong's movie, the world view is very special. There are parts that touch personal and emotional lines. You make a movie that freely crosses serious situations and allows you to watch without making a big distinction between genres. I really wanted to do this kind of movie and when director Bong said he thought of me, I quickly raised my hand," he added.

How was the collaboration with director Bong Joon-ho?

Robert Pattinson, who said he was "the best" in a nutshell, said, "Actors want to work with people who challenge their limits, present new things, and lead performances. "I'm looking for such works as if I'm hunting in the forest, and director Bong's movie caught my eye," he said.

He also expressed his respect, explaining, "Bong Joon-ho knows exactly what he wants and is a great director, so everything felt easy because he was confident."

Mickey 17' is set to be released in Korea on February 28 for the first time in the world.
