Vice President Han Jung, who will attend the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump as a special envoy for Chinese President Xi Jinping, held talks with Vice President-elect JD Vance and Tesla CEO Elon Musk in turn.

China's state-run Xinhua News Agency said Vice President Han met with President-elect Vance in Washington on the 19th local time to convey Xi's greetings to President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his election as vice president.

The Trump-Vance transition team announced that Vice President Vance met with Vice President Han to discuss the synthetic drugs fentanyl, trade balance and regional stability.

Han also met with Musk, who is considered a second Trump heavyweight, as well as heads of the U.S.-China Trade Commission and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

"We hope U.S. companies, including Tesla, will take the opportunity to enjoy the achievements of China's development together," Han said, while Musk responded that Tesla will play an active role in promoting U.S.-China economic and trade exchanges.
