A man in his 50s, who had been taken to a hospital and receiving treatment after attempting to set himself on fire on the 15th when Yoon Suk Yeol's president was arrested, died five days later.

Mr. A has been receiving treatment after suffering burns to his whole body after attempting to set himself on fire near the high-ranking government official's criminal investigation office in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, at around 8 p.m. on the 15th.

A was stopped by the police while attempting to set himself on fire near the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Seoul at around 6 a.m. on the same day, and has been investigated for setting fire in a vacant lot in front of the Democratic Party headquarters at around 0:10 a.m.

A police official explained that because A died, even if the allegations of the Democratic Party's arson case are confirmed, it will be processed as "no right to prosecute."
