Senior spokesman Cho Seung-rae told reporters at the National Assembly that the party's Supreme Council voted on the formation of a special committee for public opinion poll verification and system improvement headed by three-term lawmaker Wi Sung-gon.
He then explained that he would request the National Election Opinion Review Committee to conduct opinion polls suspected of distortion or manipulation, and come up with various system improvements such as response rate standards and prior reporting.
The special committee will hold a debate at the National Assembly on the 23rd on responding to public opinion manipulation and improving the system.
