President-elect Trump's inauguration will be held shortly at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

The cold snap will mark the first indoor inauguration in 40 years, and Trump will begin his 47th presidential term with the oath of office.

President-elect Trump will officially take office today. What's the atmosphere like in the local area?

The time here has just passed 10:10 a.m. on the 20th.

In about an hour and a half, the inauguration of the 47th U.S. president will begin in the central hall of the U.S. Capitol.

Trump is meeting Joe Biden and his wife at the White House after their first schedule of service at St John's Episcopal Church near the White House.

It is a traditional event where the outgoing president and his wife welcome the new president and his wife.

In 2021, Trump missed President Joe Biden's inauguration and did not hold a White House meeting, but he met in a changed position in four years.

Washington, D.C., looks excited ahead of the inauguration of the 47th president.

Around the Capitol, Capital One Arena, and the White House, a two-meter-high steel fence stretched 48 kilometers to restrict access and become more secure, but the inauguration is hot.

The screen you see is in front of the Capital One Arena indoor stadium, where the inauguration ceremony will be broadcast live early this morning.

I've been waiting in line since last night to enter the inauguration ceremony.

Since two days ago, normal traffic has been restricted in central Washington, DC, and we have seen many people moving near the Capitol using the subway.

With Trump's decision, the indoor inauguration ceremony was held. When does the official term start?

[Reporter]
Donald Trump's 47th presidential term will officially begin at noon local time on January 20 and 2 a.m. Korean time.

This is because the 20th Amendment stipulates that the terms of the former president and vice president end at noon on January 20.

Trump will be empowered as U.S. president-elect with his inaugural address in the central hall of the Capitol, where the inauguration ceremony will take place.

Trump will take the oath of office in front of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, putting his hand on former President Lincoln's Bible and the Bible he received from his mother.

The inauguration speech that follows is the highlight of the inauguration.

In his 2017 inauguration speech, he said, "The massacre against Americans will stop today," and it was reported that he would declare a "new era of American success."

The Wall Street Journal, which obtained the draft of the inaugural address, said Trump would send a message calling for courage and action, saying a wave of change is sweeping the United States under the theme of "common sense revolution."

Following the inauguration, priests' celebration and vocalist Christopher Machio's performance of the U.S. national anthem will be held, and President Trump will then attend a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Inauguration Committee and then move to the White House for a signing ceremony at the Oval Office.

Today's inauguration will conclude with three subsequent balls for supporters, soldiers, and donors.

We've already announced more than 100 executive orders. Executive Order No. 1, illegal immigration is expected?

Yes. That's right. At a rally to celebrate MAGA's presidential victory with supporters a day before his inauguration, Trump said he would push his pledges at a historic pace.

He also said that today, when the inauguration ceremony takes place, the border invasion will be stopped, suggesting that Executive Order No. 1 is about the massive deportation of illegal immigrants.

It is expected to include an executive order for the pardon of the January 6 Capitol rioters in 2021, a moratorium on the enforcement of anti-TikTok, a Chinese public-commerce sharing platform, and the repeal of the birthright system.

Domestic political and business figures also attended the inauguration ceremony, but as the venue changes indoors, not many people will actually attend the inauguration ceremony.

Yes, as you said, the inauguration ceremony was held indoors at the Capitol, and 250,000 tickets were initially distributed, but only about 600 people were allowed to enter the central hall where the inauguration ceremony was held.

Cho Hyun-dong, the South Korean government's representative ambassador to the U.S., will be the only one attending the central hall.

More than 20,000 people can watch the inauguration live at the Capital One Arena, an indoor stadium in Washington, D.C., where the parade is scheduled to be held after the inauguration.

Shinsegae Chairman Chung Yong-jin and Coupang Inc board chairman Kim Bum-seok are expected to attend the meeting.

The two are also expected to attend the Starlight Ball after the retirement ceremony and face-to-face with Trump and create a window to the U.S., including key cabinet figures.

The U.S. delegation, made up of members of the Foreign Affairs and Communications Commission, including Kim Seok-ki and Cho Jung-sik, reportedly was not invited to the indoor inauguration ceremony, but there are news that some members of the People's Power will attend the arena stadium.
