It is in season with petrification, a flower blooming on the beach stone, and it is a major source of income for rural residents who do not have work in winter.

As you go out to sea on a fishing boat, something woven like a train appears through bamboo poles.

The darkly attached seaweed grows only in the clean waters of Namdo.

A large seaweed lifts a bundle with a crane and turns it in a washer to remove foreign substances.

At the joint workshop near the beach, the villagers' hands are very busy.

It is a very hard work to make a 'jaegi' by rolling seaweed into a certain size.

Still, it is a profitable product that makes income in farming and fishing villages where there is no proper work in winter.

On another beach, the work is in full swing to trim oysters harvested from the rocks of the seashore.

It sells raw oysters or grilled petrified oysters, but there are so many orders that there are not enough workers.
