Starting this year, hepatitis C antibody tests will be included in the 56-year-old national health examination, and if confirmed here as a positive person, the state will support the cost of the test for confirmation.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explained that even if you are infected with hepatitis C and cured, the antibody test results may be positive, so a separate confirmation test is needed to confirm whether you are currently infected.

Support for out-of-pocket expenses for confirmed tests is limited to antibody protons through national health checkups for the first time, and those born in 1969 are eligible for the hepatitis C confirmation test this year.
