Ramaswami Resigns Co-Director of Government Efficiency...under Musk's sole control

Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Indian businessman who was appointed as co-head of the Ministry of Government Efficiency, which will be established as an advisory committee for the second U.S. Donald Trump administration, has decided not to take the co-head position.

Anna Kelly, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Government Efficiency, said in a statement on the 20th local time that Ramaswamy plans to run for elected office that cannot concurrently hold office.

Ramaswamy, who ran for the U.S. Republican presidential nomination last year, supported President Trump after dropping out in the early stages of the race, and contributed to his presidential victory by actively participating in Trump-backed campaigns during the campaign.

Ramaswamy, who has been credited for the work, is a newly established Trump organization and has been named co-head of the Ministry of Government Efficiency, an advisory body responsible for government structural reform and deregulation.
