In this regard, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced that it will implement special transportation measures during the Lunar New Year holiday by designating 10 days from the 24th to February 2nd as a special transportation countermeasure period.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport predicted that a total of 34.84 million people will move during the countermeasure period, and that the maximum number of people, which reaches 6.1 million, will move on the 29th, the day of Lunar New Year.

Transportation also predicted that 85.7% will use cars, increasing the air share to 3.7% from 2.8% previously as the holiday season increases.

On the other hand, the average daily traffic volume on the highway is 5.2 million units, down 7.7% from last year, which is expected to disperse as the holiday increases.
