Jo Ji-ho applied for bail for "blood cancer health deterioration after being arrested."

Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho applied for bail after his arrest, saying his blood cancer worsened and he felt threatened with his life.

The Seoul Central District Court today (21st) held a bail hearing date for Cho, who was indicted on charges of engaging in important missions for civil war.

Commissioner Cho said there is a medical certificate that there is a possibility of being fatal in the event of an infection, and asked him to go to trial while receiving treatment at the hospital.In his final statement, Director

said he did not want to end his 35 years in public service like this, and that the minimum desire is to be tried while his life is preserved.

On the other hand, the prosecution countered that the National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters, which was found to have been ordered by Commissioner Cho, is not cooperating with the investigation and that there is a concern about destroying evidence if Commissioner Cho is released.

He also said he could receive outpatient treatment at the detention center, adding that there was no change in the reason for his arrest based on the situation at the time of issuance of the arrest warrant.

The court said it would end the interrogation date and decide within a week whether to cite bail and notify it.
