Prosecutors said, "Lee Jae-myung, Kim Jin-sung, please do me a favor after perjury."

The prosecution was found to have included in the reason for the appeal of Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, of the alleged perjury teacher, that Lee had listened to the perjury offender's request for personnel management.

The prosecution said in the reason for appeal submitted to the Seoul High Court that there was a request to Lee in August 2021, after Kim Jin-sung, who was accused of being an accomplice of Lee, recommended A as an election campaign policy figure.

In addition, when Kim sent A's mobile number to Lee at the time, Lee replied, "Thank you," and claimed that if Kim had not perjured as Lee requested, he would not have been able to ask for personnel appointments directly.

The prosecution also presented several precedents that Lee was punished as a perjury teacher after sending documents containing his claims, including newspapers, to witnesses like Lee, and emphasized that Lee's actions were obvious to the perjury teacher.

Representative Lee was put on trial in 2018 on charges of false disclosure in connection with the so-called "prosecutor impersonation" case, and asked Kim to testify falsely.

In November last year, the first trial found CEO Lee not guilty, judging that he had no intention of perjury.
