TSMC said in an emailed statement that it had completed structural diagnoses of all factories that had been carried out since the earthquake, adding that it had been "confirmed to be safe" and that it had gradually resumed operations at the plant.
The water and power supply and workplace safety systems are operating normally and all plants are operating, adding that detailed inspections and impact assessments are underway.
TSMC evacuated workers from factories in central and southern Taiwan as a precautionary measure after a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck Tainan City early today (21st).
Taiwan's fire authorities said 27 people were injured in the earthquake and were being treated in hospitals, while Taiwan's state-run power company TaiPower said power supply to 30,000 homes affected by power outages had also resumed.
