Baemin operator Woowa Brothers announced a plan to implement a win-win pricing plan in accordance with the win-win plan reached by the delivery platform win-win consultative body last year.
Baemin announced that the brokerage fee and the delivery fee paid by the owner will be applied differentially to the owners who subscribe to the "Baemin 1 Plus" pricing plan by dividing them into four sections according to the size of sales within Baemin.
7.8% for those within the top 35% of sales, 6.8% for those above the top 35%, and 2% for those above 80% and more than 100%.
The delivery fee is 1,900 won to 3,400 won.
An official from Baemin said, "We have made every effort to implement it at the beginning of the year so that we can quickly provide practical benefits to small business owners who are struggling according to the purpose of the win-win consultative body agreement."
Regarding the criticism that some franchises with a high proportion of deliveries are increasing the burden of commissions due to the application of win-win plans, it said that the proportion of franchise owners in the bottom 65% of sales, where brokerage fees and delivery fee cuts are more applied.
Coupang Eats has yet to announce a detailed plan to implement the win-win plan.
