The government has decided to rescue those who have lost their dream of buying their own homes due to the sudden cancellation of the business.

The plan is to allow the follow-up business of the project to recognize the status of the pre-subscription winner as it is and succeed the winning status.

As of last year, there were seven businesses that won the pre-subscription but gave up their business due to deteriorating business feasibility, and more than 700 people canceled the winning.

In response, the government has come up with a relief plan for those who cancel the winning to maintain the winner's status.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to make sure that the follow-up operators who purchase the site for the cancellation of the project will first supply housing to existing private subscription winners.

Winners must apply for the same or similar area as the house where the business was canceled, and after winning, they will be managed as winners of the same type as the winning cancellation.

The obligation to hold a subscription account is the same as the original pre-subscription, but the government has decided to flexibly apply the obligation to maintain the number of houses.

[Kim Heon-jung / Housing Policy Officer at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: We plan to provide incentives such as granting conditions to allocate the amount separately as many as the number of households who cancel the project when reselling the canceled site, and easing some of the conditions for payment of land to minimize delays in the project.]

At the same time, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has decided to disclose the relief plan for each workplace that has been canceled and communicate with the winners frequently in the future process.

However, due to the increase in construction costs, it is not expected that it will be possible to buy a house at the sale price at the time of winning the pre-subscription.

[Kwon Dae-jung/Professor of Real Estate at Sogang University Graduate School] As high interest rates continue, rising raw material prices due to soaring exchange rates will eventually lead to higher pre-sale prices, and measures to resolve this conflict are also needed.]

In addition, finding new operators and worries that it will take a long time for actual supply to take place through all procedures remain obstacles to resolve.
