Kim Sang-hoon, chairman of the People's Power Policy Committee, told reporters after the meeting that there seems to be no particular disagreement that the Democratic Party of Korea also agreed to deal with the remaining bills except for 24 that passed the plenary session out of 63 bills agreed in November last year.
The ruling and opposition parties reportedly reached an agreement on the Special Act on Offshore Wind Power and the Special Act on the Expansion of the National Key Power Network among the so-called "Future Food Act", but the Special Act on Semiconductors is expected to be discussed again after watching the Democratic Party's policy debate.
Jin Sung-joon, chairman of the policy committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, said there is a big disagreement over the passage of the amendment to the Special Taxation Act, which was requested by Acting President Choi Sang-mok to ease the burden on small business owners.
The ruling and opposition parties also confirmed a mixed position on the extra budget, with Chairman Kim Sang-hoon saying he is not currently considering the extra budget, and Chairman Jin Sung-joon pointing out that it is very disappointing.
