A plan to designate and manage veterans-related symbols as national and preliminary cultural heritage will be promoted.

The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs announced tomorrow (27) that it will sign a business agreement with the National Heritage Administration for the preservation and sustainable utilization of veterans' cultural heritage.

The two organizations plan to designate and register veterans' symbols of high historical value as national heritage sites.

To this end, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs will discuss selecting the remains and various symbols of the victims of the second Yeonpyeong naval battle, the Cheonan warship, and the shelling of Yeonpyeong Island as preliminary cultural heritage.

Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs Kang Jeong-ae said he will cooperate with the National Heritage Administration for the systematic preservation and sustainable utilization of cultural heritage related to veterans.
