Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, says a senior executive at his home in southern Lebanon's al-Bas refugee camp died with his wife and children.
Lebanon's state news agency says the al-Bas refugee camp is the first to be attacked.
The Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon was created for those who fled the First Middle East War, which broke out during Israel's founding in 1948.
AFP explained that it is customary for Palestinian factions to take charge of security in refugee camps themselves, not Lebanese troops.
