Reuters, spokesman Yahya Sarri Houthi said in a televised address on the 1st local time that "we used four drones to attack military facilities in Tel Aviv and Eilat."
The Israeli military earlier said it intercepted the drone dozens of kilometers off the coast near Tel Aviv.
Separately, the British Maritime Trade Organization said the ship was struck by missiles in waters 180 kilometers northwest of Houthi-controlled Yemeni port city of Hodeida.
"The vessel was damaged, but the crew was reported to be safe," the Maritime Trade Organization said.
The Houthis have attacked ships passing through the Red Sea in the name of solidarity with the Palestinians since a war broke out between Israel and Palestinian militant Hamas in October last year.
