Western countries, including Britain and Canada, have begun searching for flights to evacuate their citizens from Lebanon.

According to foreign media on the 1st of local time, the British government has reserved a charter flight for its citizens leaving Lebanon and will take off from Lebanon's Rafiq Hariri International Airport the next day.

Earlier, the British government said it would deploy an additional 700 troops to a British military base in Cyprus, an island close to Lebanon, to carry out evacuation operations for its citizens.

The Canadian government also said the day before that it had reserved 800 civilian seats for evacuation of its citizens in Lebanon.

Canada plans to mobilize military resources in Cyprus to help evacuate its citizens if civil aircraft become difficult to take off from Lebanon.

Countries have temporarily suspended civil flights to and from the region since the crisis in the Middle East escalated.

Germany's Lufthansa Group has extended the suspension of flights to and from Israel until the 31st and extended the suspension of flights to Lebanon until November 30.
