Yangyang County Governor Kim Jin-ha, who is suspected of sexually inappropriate behavior and receiving money in front of female civil petitioners, defected from the people's power.

The Gangwon Police Agency said on the 1st that it is conducting an internal investigation (pre-conflict investigation) into the allegations of Kim's misconduct.

According to a KBS report on the 29th of last month, A, a female civil petitioner who runs a cafe in Yangyang-gun, claims that Governor Kim, who was in the back seat of a car in the parking lot of his cafe on December 27th last year, acted poorly to him.

In particular, when A went to the bathroom and came out, Governor Kim said he was taking off all his pants. At the time, A told Governor Kim, "Are you taking off your pants in broad daylight? People may come up, but don't do this here. What's wrong with you?" he said.

In this regard, Governor Kim acknowledged that he had lowered his bottom directly to KBS, but refuted A's claim that it was inappropriate behavior, saying, "It was a woman's request, and I pulled up my pants soon because I felt sorry."

After the report became controversial, a series of allegations were raised that Kim received cash and massage chairs from A, saying he would resolve the civil complaint. In the region, it is said that A filed a complaint with Governor Kim asking him to change the use of the land where his pension is located.

According to the Gangwon Provincial Party, the People's Power, Kim submitted his resignation on the 30th of last month for personal reasons. The party is said to have dealt with it immediately.

The police recently completed an investigation into A and are investigating specific facts. A police official said, "After completing the investigation, we plan to decide whether or not Kim will be booked soon."
