Hamas claims behind Tel Aviv shooting attack that killed seven

Palestinian militant Hamas has claimed responsibility for the shooting in Tel Aviv, Israel, which killed seven people.

"The Al-Qassam Brigade is responsible for the heroic operation," Hamas said in a Telegram statement on Monday.

Hamas claimed that "holy Islamic fighters infiltrated the occupied territories, stabbed occupier soldiers, seized weapons and carried out heroic operations."

According to Israeli police, two gunmen got off a train that stopped at Ehrlich light rail station in the Yafa district of Tel Aviv at around 7 p.m. on the 1st and opened fire on people.

Train station security personnel and police officers killed them after a gunfight at the scene.CCTV installed on the street

showed criminals aiming at citizens with charging rifles on their shoulders.

Police say the two suspects were identified as Muhammad Chalaf Sahar Rajab and Hasan Muhammad Hasan Tamimi from the West Bank city of Hebron.
