Kim Sung-hoe, a spokesman for the Democratic Party, said in a written briefing on the first day of the official campaign that the meaning of the by-elections is to judge the Yoon Suk Yeol regime above all else.
He went on to say that the state administration would be ruined and that the election of a powerful main opposition candidate would be the strongest warning to the Yoon Suk Yeol government.
He went on to argue that in order to achieve regional development, the ready policies of candidates and authorized parties that have been rooted in the region for a long time, and the powerful support of majority-seat parties must match.
