U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris is campaigning for the birthplace of former Representative Liz Cheney, who represents anti-Trump forces in the Republican Party.

Vice President Harris will visit Ripun, Wisconsin, one of the northern contending states, with Cheney on the afternoon of the 3rd, local time, the presidential campaign said.

CNN and others said Harris is expected to pledge to abide by the Constitution and the rule of law despite political differences, referring to the Republican Party's roots, which were born against the expansion of slavery in Rifen.

Cheney, who is campaigning with Harris, is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, who served as vice president under President George W. Bush, and Cheney's father and daughter declared their support for Harris last month.

Vice President Harris' visit to Rifen is interpreted as a measure to target center-right Republicans at a time when the U.S. presidential election is running very close.
