The National Assembly will hold a plenary session today to re-vote the amendment of the Special Prosecutor Act on Chae Sang-byung and the Local Currency Act with First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

Ahead of the re-vote, the Democratic Party of Korea pressed the ruling party, saying that the more time it took, the greater the responsibility of the ruling party, and the people's power seems to be cracking down on votes all at once even in the face of conflict between the party and the government.

Two special counsel bills and amendments to the Local Currency Act, which came back to the National Assembly with President Yoon Suk Yeol's demand for reconsideration, or veto.

Ahead of the re-vote, the Democratic Party of Korea urged Kim Gun-hee to accept the special prosecution, saying it could no longer leave the absolute power, which is not even prosecuted despite many suspicions.

In order for the three bills to cross the National Assembly threshold again, more than 200 votes are needed for all lawmakers to attend.

This means that more than eight votes should leave the ruling party, and the Democratic Party of Korea has increased the pressure, saying that the more time it takes, the more responsibility the party will turn to the ruling party beyond President Yoon.

The opposition party is focusing on cracking down on votes, even though it affirms that there will be no departure vote for the people who hold onto the position that the independent counsel's push is for political strife.

Representative Han Dong-hoon also said that there may be various views on the issue related to Kim, but it is right to reject the independent counsel law.

[Han Dong-hoon / Representative of People's Power: It is a special prosecution law that the Democratic Party decides everything and does as it pleases. If such an independent counsel law is passed and implemented, the judicial order will be shaken.]

However, some members of the party continue to say that Kim Gun-hee should express her position on various suspicions and apologize.

[Kim Yong-tae / Member of the People's Power (SBS Radio 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show'): The sooner, the better. The worst case scenario would be that the worst number would be taken to the opposition party or something like this, and (Kim Gun-hee) would apologize.]

The Democratic Party of Korea also expects the independent counsel law to be rejected due to the small size of the departure vote, but tensions between the ruling and opposition parties are expected to increase over Kim's allegations as they plan to continue tightening the offensive reins while watching the ruling party's infighting.
