U.S. Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump said that if he becomes president, no state in the U.S. will be able to ban internal combustion engine cars or trucks.

Former President Trump held a campaign rally in Michigan, a presidential race state, on the 3rd local time and said he would end Kamala Harris' policy to mandate electric vehicles.

Former President Trump said the Biden administration's electric vehicle mandate policy was eliminating 40,000 auto-related jobs in Michigan and 200,000 across the country, a death sentence for Michigan's economy and the auto industry.

Michigan is the cradle of the U.S. auto industry, with former Republican President Trump winning the 2016 presidential election for the first time in decades, and Democratic President Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential election by just over 300 votes.
