The agency said the typhoon weakened sharply as it moved inland from Taiwan, due to the effects of high mountain ranges in the east and shallow depths in the west.
However, due to the rain clouds left by the typhoon, Jeju Island and the south are expected to receive 5 to 40mm of rain the day after tomorrow, and high waves of up to 4m are expected at sea.
