U.S. singer Brooks is accused of sexual assault.

Country singer Garth Brooks, 62, who is called a national singer in the United States, has been accused of sexual assault and other charges, AP and Reuters reported on the 3rd local time.

Hair and makeup artist Jane Law (pseudonym) reportedly filed a complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking jury trial, compensation and punitive damages, saying Brooks sexually assaulted her at a Los Angeles hotel in 2019.In the complaint,

Brooks then claimed in a separate lawsuit that he tried to drive himself to extortion.In a lawsuit filed last month in federal court in Mississippi under the name of John Doe,
said Brooks had asked a judge to confirm that the defendant's allegations were untrue, saying there was a female extortionist who wanted to destroy her professional reputation by lying.

But Brooks argued in his complaint at the time that Law had threatened to sue him if he didn't give him millions of dollars two months ago, and that Law's allegations were entirely untrue.

Brooks said filing the lawsuit under a pseudonym was a decision "for both families" and stressed that he trusts the system and is not afraid of the truth.
