Citing internal sources, CNN reported on the 4th local time that Hezbollah has yet to officially name a successor, as well as Nasrallah's funeral.
Islamic norms require burial within 24 hours of death to prevent decomposition of bodies as much as possible.
However, Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike, was officially confirmed dead on April 28 but has still not been able to hold a funeral, at least publicly.
CNN analyzed that the failure to schedule a funeral may be due to Israel's difficulty in securing a safe place for the funeral as it hit Muslim Shiite-majority areas.
In Iran, the Shiite leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, held a Friday service for the first time in four years to pay tribute to Nasrallah, but there has been no public movement in Lebanon.
Earlier in the day, some reported that Nasrallah was secretly buried, but sources close to Hezbollah denied this to CNN.
CNN notes that Hezbollah's move, which is at the heart of the "axis of resistance" to Israel's widespread hit, is becoming more covert than ever.
