In connection with the fire department's guidance last month to restrict firefighters from contacting the media, some firefighters have launched the so-called "mouthed condemnation challenge."

Some firefighters from the Seoul Fire Department of the Korean Government Employees' Union have been sharing photos of themselves covering their mouths with their hands on social media since the beginning of this month.

The Seoul Fire Department explained that after disclosing the situation in which 119 paramedics suffered various problems in the process of transferring emergency patients due to the medical crisis, the Fire Department issued guidelines to restrict media contact, prompting the agency to take on such a challenge.

He then stressed that the fire department needs the voices of the fire department for the safety of the people, and that the fire department should actively solve the problem.

Earlier last month, the National Fire Agency delivered precautions to the front line, such as avoiding personal opinions that could distort the status quo when appearing on TV.
