A T'way Airlines flight on a European route has been ordered to "stop operations" by aviation authorities due to a glitch.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a filing to the office of Rep. Lee Yeon-hee of the Democratic Party of Korea that it ordered T'way Airlines' HL8501 aircraft to be suspended and maintained on July 26.

It is the first time since 2018 that the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has suspended operations on certain aircraft, and it was found that it was urgent to resolve hydraulic system defects at the time.

T'way Airlines was also found to have been fined 2.05 billion won in August for violating five operational and maintenance regulations for aviation safety.
