According to the data received by Rep. Kim Tae-sun of the Democratic Party of Korea from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, it was estimated that as of the end of last year, there were 2,250 workplaces that did not implement it even though they were obligated to install rest facilities.
Businesses with 10 or more employees who employ more than 20 full-time workers and two or more workers in seven occupations, including cleaning, security, and delivery workers, can be fined if they do not install rest facilities.
In the two years of enforcement of the law, 1,583 workplaces were caught by the government for violating the installation of rest facilities, of which 100 were caught for not installing and 1,483 violated the installation standards.
