After the first meeting, Shin Eui-jin, chairman of the ethics committee, met with reporters and said he decided to request an investigation into former administrator Kim's violations of party constitution and party regulations, including spreading false information.

He then explained that former administrator Kim defected from the party, but there are many areas to investigate because the problematic behavior took place during his time as a member of the party.

Whether there was a disagreement between the members, he said, there were active opinions on the content, scope, and legal matters of the investigation.
