Spokesman Hwang Jung-ah said in a briefing at the National Assembly that Myung frequently visited Yoon Suk Yeol's candidate's home during the presidential election to give political advice in media interviews.
The presidential office then urged the president to reveal the truth of Myung's claim, saying that Kim Gun-hee, the "secret president," is it a "secret administration" in which non-presidential powers are manipulating state affairs.
In a media interview earlier, Myung claimed that when he was a presidential candidate, he visited the homes of President Yoon and his wife several times and gave political advice, such as suggesting that Choi Jae-hyung, former chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, be appointed as prime minister.
