Former member of the idol group NCT, Taeil Moon (Taeil Moon, 30), who was accused of sex crimes, is being accused of special quasi-rape, according to reports.

According to the Chosun Ilbo on the 7th, Taeil was accused of sexually assaulting a drunk woman with two acquaintances.

Taeil was investigated by the Seoul Bangbae Police Station on charges of special rape and handed over to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on the 12th of last month. It is known that the prosecution has not summoned Taeil yet.

Special crimes of quasi-rape apply when you have a weapon or two or more people commit quasi-rape in a group. If the relevant charges are admitted, they shall be punished by imprisonment or life imprisonment for at least seven years pursuant to Article 4 (1) of the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Violence Crimes.

Regarding Taeil's alleged special quasi-rape, SM Entertainment, the agency, said, "It is difficult to tell you because the case is under investigation."

Earlier in August, SM said in its official position, "We recently confirmed that Tae-il has been accused of a criminal case related to sex crimes. In this regard, we recognized that the issue was very serious and decided that we could no longer continue our team activities, and discussed with Tae-il and decided to withdraw from the team."
