According to the data received by Lee Yong-woo of the Democratic Party of Korea, a member of the National Assembly's Environment and Labor Committee, from the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, Samsung Electronics paid 23.65 billion won in employment charges for the disabled last year.
Samsung Electronics has to hire more than 3,750 people as disabled according to the standards set by the Presidential Decree, but the actual number of employees was only 2,210.
After Samsung Electronics, Yonsei University, a school corporation, paid 5.97 billion won, followed by Korean Air with 5.95 billion won, followed by Hyundai Motor with 5.72 billion won.
