Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, reiterated the need for follow-up measures based on the audit results, saying he thinks FIFA's warning letter to the Korea Football Association is ceremonial.

Minister Yoo In-chon said today (7th) at the National Assembly's parliamentary audit, saying that the action against the Korea Football Association is not over yet, but just the beginning.

Referring to earlier suggestions of a re-election process, Yu added that he thought the process was still in effect.

On the 2nd, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced an audit result that it is difficult to judge the contract as invalid, emphasizing the independence and autonomy of the Korea Football Association, even though there are defects in the process of appointing Hong Myung-bo.

Earlier on the 30th of last month, it was belatedly revealed that the Korea Football Association also reported to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism after receiving a FIFA official letter stating that political interference could result in sanctions.

Let's hear from Minister Yoo In-chon.

[Yoo In-chon / Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism: I think it's a ceremonial procedure for FIFA to send an official letter. I'm not going to go against that. The Korean Sports Association and the Korea Football Association are not done yet. You can think of it as the beginning. I think (the appointment of the national soccer team coach) should go through a fair process again. Fans and the public have an eye.... Obviously, because I announced that this was unfair....]
